The Norwegian stave churches from the 12th century stand silent and strong in the landscape. These churches built by the Vikings served as my models when I was looking for the basic form of a church. I have burned a part of the walls of the sculpture. This work combines the themes of building a church and arson as concrete actions. One cannot enter the sculpture. That space remains personal for all viewers.
